Job Title : SAN Admin
Location: Rosemead, CA
Duration: 6 + months
Strong knowledge of IBM DS8XXX series, XIV, NetApp, NAS, WORM units (i.eCentera) storage systems that includes architecture engineering and physical design with an emphasis in storage fabric connectivity, zoning, Storage virtualization, and capacity management.
Good understanding of complex data center technologies and data / network systems to ensure future computing needs
“Must Have” skills: List top three critical skills that resume must have
1. Knowledge of architecture engineering and physical design in a heterogeneous platform environment such as IBM P Series, HP Blade Server Enclosures as well as various operating systems such as Windows, Redhat, and IBM AIX, along with strong background in virtualization platforms such as IBM VIO, and VMWare.
2. Proficient knowledge of IBM DS8XXX series, XIV, NetApp, NAS, WORM units (i.e Centera) storage systems that includes architecture engineering and physical design with an emphasis in storage fabric connectivity, zoning, Storage virtualization, and capacity management.
3. Strong background in de-duplication, thin provisioning, snapshot or cloning features as well as backup solutions in a virtualized Data Center.
4. Experience in engineering solutions related to the convergence of storage and network (FCoE) in a production environment would be a plus.
5. Skills such as teamwork, ability to work with others in a highly collaborative enterprise environment, as well as work across organizational lines with other IT groups such as Enterprise Architecture, Network and Development teams required.
6. Individual must have good writing skills to document storage and compute physical designs.
7. Professional attitude and excellent communication skills a must.
8. Must be self-started/self-motivated and independent worker.
9. Must be proficient with tools for SAN capacity projections, management and reporting.
Job Requirements: Strong Technical knowledge of Storage , Network , Servers ( Windows , UNIX , AIX , Redhat) , Databases ( DB2, Oracle, SQL) with ability to demonstrate and working experience in a complex IT Infrastructure Environments with VMware , AIX and Z-Enterprises
Ability to design , configure and create physical Systems / Infrastructure design by using industry standard tools like Visio & Word
Ability to communicate and coordinate in regards to Systems Design with Technology Enterprise Architecture, Network Development , Testing & implementation team
Ability to provide consulting in designing , architecture and development in regards of major program infrastructure needs from server , network and security requirements ,
Typical Responsibilities: Typical responsibilities include: System Physical system design of complex infrastructure environment.
Consulting for major technology infrastructure projects from Server , Network and Storage requirement and able to provide best industry solutions & system design
Ability to communicate and coordinate the Systems Design with Technology Enterprise Architecture, Network Development , Testing & implementation team
