Job Description:
Senior Data Architect with extensive experience designing robust OLTP and OLAP information solutions.
Multi-tasking team-player who is comfortable managing diverse simultaneous projects of varying content, scope, duration and complexity.
Experienced professional adept at exploiting data modeling and other tools to develop and communicate strong conceptual, logical and physical data models.
Effective listener, speaker, reader and writer able to bridge business and technical domains, promote best practices and enforce good governance.

 

Required Skills:
Perform in-depth business analysis to determine information requirements.
Develop enterprise, application and data warehouse data models.
Physicalize designs to develop and deploy final DDL for multiple platforms.
Achieve reuse of existing structures and models.
Reverse engineer, analyze and document existing databases.
Guide and assist the creation of process and data flows and mappings.
Expert data modeling tool skills with ERwin, ER-Studio or PowerDesigner.
Solid understanding of relational databases (DB2, SQL Server, Teradata).
Excellent problem solving skills; proven teamwork and communication skills.
Process oriented, focused on standardization, streamlining, and best practices.
Experience in the financial services industry.
Self-starter and highly motivated towards success.  

 

Desired Skills:
Experience with Metadata Repository implementation, administration and exploitation.
Data Quality process experience, including data profiling, remediation and success metrics.
Master Data Management (MDM) experience to rationalize enterprise reference data.
Understanding of process engineering concepts such as UML modeling.
