Position: SharePoint Admin

Location: Providence, RI

Duration: 4-6 Months

Rate: DOE

Our Client is looking for a multi-talented individual to help us to setup our new SharePoint 2010 and .Net Internet facing web server farms.  Major tasks include the installation, configuration, testing, verification and documentation of SharePoint and AvePoint backup and restore software for over 45 virtual servers for production, development and test environments.  He or she would also work with other IT teams at client to test, verify, troubleshoot and document the necessary DNS, IIS, .Net, SQL Server and F5 hardware load balancing configuration and optimization required for maximum system performance and availability for over 55,000 external and internal users.

Requirements:

•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.

•    Experience in installing and configuring Microsoft SharePoint 2010 or later.

•    Experience in configuring Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or later.

•    Experience in configuring Microsoft Internet Information Server 7.0 or later.

•    Experience in enterprise backup/recovery/fail-over methods and best practices.

•    Knowledge of VMware virtual machine technology.

•    Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.

•    Ability to write clear documentation of operating procedures/run books.

•    Exceptional communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills.
