Rate: $48/hr on C2C

Job Description:
3+ years experience as a business analyst, with command of business analysis techniques, methodologies, & tools, as well as SDLC & iterative systems development methodologies, and ideally in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
The Business Analyst will serve as a technical & scientific resource to therapeutic area scientists (Immunology & Neurology), and translate scientific requirements into successful technical solutions and processes.
S/he will be expected to actively gather scientific requirements, communicate with Biogen Idec scientists to assure their understanding of existing tools, projects, and future direction, and meet their ever-changing needs.
The position will focus on identifying IT infrastructure requirements for new lab instrumentation as well as assay data management & analysis for the therapeutic areas.
Developing the necessary documentation for IT solutions projects - i.e. statement of work, project objectives & metrics, business requirements, use cases, storyboards, functional specifications, systems & end-user documentation.
Strong knowledge of drug discovery information systems & workflows for lab assay data & knowledge management, data query & analysis, lab automation, and high-content lab instrumentation.
