Position: Enterprise Application Architect

Location:  San Jose, CA

Duration:  9+ months

 

Job Responsibilities:

·        Guides the development of Application Architecture/Systems roadmaps & drives dialog with Design, Development, Business Architects and other key players to advance Architecture forward

·        Interfaces with other key organizations to construct Architecture deliverables such as Strategies, Blueprints, Patterns, etc.

·        Utilizes industry & competitive knowledge to apply the most current and appropriate ideas in a forward-looking manner to support the business & also to anticipate new opportunities

·        Conducts vendor/technology evaluation as appropriate

·        Assess existing customer facing tools and development platform and identify gaps and area for improvement

·        Develop scalable application framework/platform for customer facing tools and communicate/obtain alignment with various stake holders

 

Skills and Experience Required:

·        Has in depth understanding of application development, technologies and software development lifecycle. Acts as the lead technical expert for areas in the Application Architecture Domain

·        Experienced with web technologies/tools, middleware integration technologies/tools, key packaged application (Siebel, Oracle, etc.)

·        Experienced in Application Architecture and/or Systems Solutions Architecture; with minimum of 8 years of technical background

·        Effective use of communication tools/methods such as PowerPoint, Visio, UML/Architecture Modeling as well as the ability to effectively deliver presentations

·        Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills - lead, collaborate, facilitate, and negotiate as necessary

·        Must be a self-starter with the skills required to be able to motivate and influence across IT and Business departments

·        Project and program management skills a plus

·        Travel may be required
