Title: QA Manager
Location: Albany, NY
Length: 6 Months+
Rate: $55/hr on C2C
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, mathematics, or engineering or a mathematics-intensive discipline, or an applicable certificate of training from an accredited institution
Ten (10) or more years of intensive and progressive experience in a computer related field with four years within the last eight calendar years of intensive and progressive experience in performing software testing for complex and highly complex software/ hardware applications and/or systems
Three (3) years of experience managing a group of 10 or more is required
Must have a thorough working experience in QA/Testing using various QA Testing methodologies and complete SDLC understand
Must have detailed test management experience with building and maintaining test plans, test suites, test cases, defects and test scripts using automated testing tools. Have vast knowledge of testing techniques to cover all possible corner cases for testing, verification and validation techniques
Be detailed oriented, have excellent writing and verbal communication skills and possess client facing skills
Have hands on experience in very complex and large web-based application (portal) testing built on Java, Web-sphere (presentation layer), DB2 LUW (backend database) and middleware (web services, API calls testing using SOAP UI)
Working knowledge of MS office tools (MS Word for documents, MS Excel for reporting, etc.)
Hands on working experience in writing SQL skills using joins for data validation from various data sources using DB2 LUW
Desired Skills
Extensive hands-on functional knowledge of Rational Quality Manager for test management in collaboration with Rational Team Concert and Rational Requirement Composer
Must be a team player, quick responsive, contributor, coordinator, cooperative, understanding, cordial and adaptive to rapid changes in a complex changing environment
Must be willing to put in extra effort including working late evening and weekend hours to accomplish the given tasks for the highly visible NY-HX Project
In-depth working experience of validation ADA 508 Compliance.
