Hello Friends:

We are in urgent need of Cognos Admin:

Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 6 Months+
Skills: Cognos Administration
• 8+ years of hands-on expert experience administering BI tools with at least 3+ years of experience as Cognos administrator.
• 3+ years of BI data modeling/design and direct Cognos and SQL scripting development, including demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the Data Warehouse lifecycle, Data Mining, Business Intelligence concepts and technologies.
• 3+ years of experience in using OLAP, data modeling, data extraction, transformation, loading and replication tools for business intelligence
• Strong prior experience deploying detailed security implementations with various LDAP systems, maintaining and syncing Development, QA, and Production environments, Framework Manager modeling, monitoring and auditing system usage, report scheduling and bursting
• Proven ability to implement and roll out packaged software and tools with exposure to installing packaged software on servers with at least 2+ years demonstrated experience installing, configuring, maintaining and upgrading Cognos application servers and tools
• Strong database performance and tuning skills RDBMS such as Teradata including advanced SQL experience (ability to read/write/debug SQL) and query optimization as it pertains to reporting and analytic solutions
• Prior experience administering Cognos systems on a Windows platform is strongly preferred
• Prior experience with UNIX and/or UNIX shell scripting, a strong plus
• Exposure to web infrastructure technologies (Portals, firewalls, DMZ's, networking, etc.) and complex system environments is preferred
• Experience in Web/Internet technology, HTML, XML, JAVA script, SOAP and Visual Studio a plus
