Senior level DBA (SQL Server)

 

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 months - long term. (Client may be interested in making a permanent offer after few months)

 

Overview:

- Seeking candidate with strong SQL Server DBA skills (Client utilizes 2000, 2005 and 2008 - 2000 & 2008 are not mandatory)

- Looking for six months Oracle experience, but is willing to accept less than six months or even none at all, provided the candidate is open to learning Oracle without formal training (the desired work knowledge SQL -75% and Oracle -25%)

- Desires strong mentoring skills, collaboration
- Would like candidate to have scripting, but not necessary
- Candidate must have performance tuning experience
- Job entails 40+ hours and on call rotation
- Job is more on the development side, not production
- No insurance background needed (nice to have)

 

Education: 

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent discipline.
