Job Description:
Network Engineer, Staff
Plan, design, implement and support Qualcomm's Global Data Center Network infrastructure.
Provide support to Qualcomm's Datacenters comprised of Cisco Nexus and Catalyst routers and switches, Cisco UCS, and Citrix NetScalers.
Evaluate and implement new technologies.
Perform upgrades, new installations, enhancements and configuration changes as needed.
Monitor daily operations and troubleshoot problems.
Operate, monitor, maintain and support data center infrastructure equipment.
Adhere to corporate change management policies and practices.
Work on cross department and function projects.
Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation.
Help other IT teams like server, storage, AFS/NFS in their day to day operations.
Be a great team player and be capable of managing vendor relationships.
On-call responsibilities.
Provide creativity and technical leadership
