Position: Sr. Java Developer
Location: Mahwah, NJ
Duration: 6-9 Months-Possible extension
Candidate MUST be able to drive to this location, the client is not easily accessible by train or bus …please keep that in mind also…
Overview of the project:
Senior Java Developer
The details are below…in addition to the candidate needing to possess the background listed below; the candidate must also have very strong communication skills. The selected candidate will have the task of interfacing with subject matter experts as well as participate in meeting and interfacing with all levels of management, an effective communicator is a must. The candidate must also be local to the northern NJ area as well as be available for a face to face interview.
- Candidate should have a minimum of 5-10 years of overall IT experience
- 5+ years of strong experience with core Java/J2ee design /development
- Very Strong understanding and application of Struts1.x, JSF 1.2, AJAX, spring, Hibernate and Jasper Reports
- Applicable experience in utilizing Java design patterns to implement solutions in application server, presentation layer, and web-services and standalone batch processes
- Strong understanding of MVC models and frameworks
- Strong understanding of database modeling and database development (preferably in Oracle).
- Experience converting user requirements into design document.
- UML and System Analysis experience is a plus
- Integration experience with the ERP Oracle (e-business suite) is a plus
- Sun certification in Web development highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Keys to the project:
-Must have strong Java J2EE hands-on development experience utilizing Spring, Hibernate, Struts MVC and Ajax
-Must have the ability to and experience with interfacing with the user community ie: Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, End Users. Must also participate in meetings and provide input about project
-Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, delivering smaller projects on average every 2-3 days…must be able to identify the issue within the code fix the issue and deliver the project and move onto another area of the application. A person that can multi task and operate well in a fast paced area working on different areas of the application weekly….this is a very important key to the position.
