.Net/SQL Server Developer

Job Functions:
• Looking for .net programmer that also has experience with SQL server 2005 DBA activities.
• Develop, test code and make necessary changes to the system interfaces; and provide Object and Source Code, in accordance with standards utilizing source and Object Code libraries and Configuration Management procedures.
• Conform to existing coding standards by eliminating hard coded routines and replace with dynamic data driven solutions.
• Provide code review, and provide documentation in support thereof.

Experience/Qualification:
• 5+ years experience working on SQL Server 2005 and performing DBA activities
• 4+ years of experience in developing enterprise applications in .NET technologies using SQL Server database back-end
• Good communication skills and ability to participate in technical discussions with Verizon Technical Leads and Managers, and work with offshore teams
• Ability to work effectively and meet/exceed deadlines under pressure.
• Very independent full-life-cycle developer who has knowledge of IIS, manage software builds and deployments, and provide support

Skills
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2005 and DBA activities
• Strong understanding and hands on experience of C#.NET, ASP.NET,  using Visual Studio development environment
• Working Experience on XML, Xquery, Web services, WSDL, Nhibernate
• Good knowledge of IIS server
• Desired – Knowledge of Windows Workflow, WCF, and competencies on ADO.NET and CVS
• Desired – Knowledge of Oracle DB activities
