Skills and Experience: The Ecommerce Architect works under minimal supervision, and collaborates with the business and IT stakeholders to develop a detailed understanding of client business needs. The architect evaluates targeted solutions to be consistent with architectural standards and best practices; provides technical leadership in tactical planning and participates in the strategic planning within the seven enterprise architecture domains. This individual identifies opportunities and is responsible for documenting the ecommerce architecture domain level road map. The architect will set direction for the usage of enterprise software components and frameworks; and effectively articulate multiple views of Client application architecture within Client. The architect will provide oversight to project-level solution development efforts of strategic impact to Client, perform quality reviews and measure adherence to enterprise architecture guidelines and procedures, to ensure consistent and coherent implementations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead in the definition, establishment, documentation, implementation, and continuous updates of Client architectural standards, frameworks, and best practices for application architecture
• Analyze the current client Information Technology landscape to identify weaknesses and work with client IT application owners to develop opportunities for improvements
• Assist application development teams in the design and build of complex customer-facing applications, as well as designing and delivering solutions within the SOA model. Provide leadership to drive a solid understanding of SOA technologies, tools, and related governance processes throughout IT.
• Evaluate and recommend Information Technology solutions and drive the operationalization of new technologies and development methods within application architecture.
• Develop both conceptual and detailed architecture plans, and work with internal client staff to drive the plans to fruition
• Research industry trends & best practices and develop recommendations of technologies and methods to stakeholders at all levels
• Create, maintain, and communicate domain specific architecture models, frameworks and patterns.
• Provide architectural consultation, support, mentoring, and guidance to fellow Enterprise architects and project architects / SEs in their related subject area
• Ensure that client development projects achieve a high standard of data quality and reuse by following enterprise standards and industry best practices
• Defines, improves and advocates corporate standards, procedures, metrics and policies
• Work collaboratively with other architectural domain and enterprise architects to recommend and design effective and consistent data and integration solution.

Must have deep IBM websphere commerce experience.
