Networking Test Engineer
Work Location : Cupertino , CA
Duration : 6-12 Months+
Rate : Market

Client : Apple

Responsibilities:

•          Work with a highly skilled engineering team in the design, implementation and support of Network technologies

•          Automate existing tests

•          Develop new whitebox and blackbox tests, assess code coverage

•          Monitor and support internal testing efforts

•          Design, implement and support API test tools, functional test tools and benchmarking tools

•          Test failure triage and fault isolation

Required Experience:

•          Strong scripting skills (e.g. shell, python, perl, ruby)

•          Familiar with network tools (tcpdump, WireShark, nmap, WiFi sniffer, packet filter)

•          A genuine passion for operating system technology

•          Demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities and troubleshooting skills

•          Highly professional, with the ability to multitask and deliver solid work on tight schedules

 

Preferred Experience:

•          BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience/skills

•          Mac OS X exposure

•          BSD UNIX and/or Windows experience

•          Have experience in setting up enterprise network services

•          Unix tools such as svn, make, and UNIX command line tools

•          Exposure and knowledge of UNIX networking internals
