Our Client is looking for Software Development Test Engineer - Redmond, WA. This is an 6+ Months contract position with extensions possible. The Hourly rate is DOE. Kindly review it and let me know your interest.

SDET with good Automation, Web Services and Silver light                                                                                                                                                                                            

The  tools and reporting team is looking for a customer-centric SDET to drive quality in the internal end-user applications we deliver.  The position's focus will be on test cases, execution, results analysis and engineering escalation support.  This is an agile development environment with short release cycles and dynamic business requirements.  A successful candidate will have the ability to drive technical issues from start to finish while consistently demonstrating solid judgment in promoting engineering best practices. This specific assignment entails testing of new development on a financial business application using Silverlight.

What you'll do:

Write test plans for new feature sets. Improve test quality and effectiveness by working with Development and Program Management to prevent problems and to make the product more testable. Find holes in test cases. Execute on test plans and conduct detailed analysis of test results to find product defects and incomplete test cases in test suites. Review product specifications to find holes in features or problems with the integration of multiple features. Write test code with minimal supervision.

5+ years of experience in software development preferably with experience in enterprise application development

3+ years of experience in software testing

Extensive SQL Server experience including database design and optimization. SQL Server 2008 knowledge is a plus

3-5 years of development experience in C#, ASP.NET, VB, XML/XSLT, Web Services

1-2 years of development experience in Silver light, WPF, WCF, XAML

Ability to perform system-wide root cause analysis and drive improvements in performance, scale, and reliability

Strong problem resolution, judgment, negotiating/prioritization and decision making skills.

Excellent written/verbal communication

Team player who can effectively work with multiple workgroups

Strong collaboration skills including knowing when to negotiate and when to pushback

Task oriented and self-motivated with a dedicated work ethic and ability to work under strict deadlines

B.A. / B.S. in information systems and/or software engineering / computer science or equivalent experience
