Network Engineer with DNS/BIND Support on UNIX platform
Work Location : Fremont, CA
Duration : 6 Months+
Rate : Market

Note : Locals Preferred , who can attend In-Person Interview

The main skills that they need are strong DNS/BIND experience on Linux or Solaris systems.

This is estimated to be a 6 month assignment with XO Communications in Fremont.

Summary:

This Network Engineer will support company's current DNS (Domain Name Server) platform including 100,000 zone files and 40 million resource records.

The candidate will need to have experience supporting DNS with BIND, on UNIX platform – either Solaris or Linux. Light UNIX admin experience is preferred.

Light admin scripting experience preferred.

Ideally the candidate will have experience with DNS migration to a hosted platform.

We are currently evaluating vendors to migrate their DNS platform to, and we expect that migration will be completed by the end of the year which is the projected end date for this resource.

Experience:

BS Degree or equivalent.

7+ years DNS and BIND experience.

Unix Administration experience( Solaris or Linux)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
