Description
The SAP HCM Payroll Business Analyst is involved in all aspects of design and implementation of solutions to support the payroll and HR business functions of our clients. In this support role, responsibilities include gathering and documenting requirements, creating designs and test scenarios, configuring and testing functionality, and managing the daily tasks necessary to implement projects. The SAP Payroll Business Analyst is accountable for the implementation of projects using an in house project methodology and has oversight of the design and configuration activities in partnership with development. Provides strong business application knowledge in working across Information Technology and integrating all business functions to maximize the client's investment in SAP.
APPLICATION DESIGN AND DELIVERY:Accountable for application design, configuration, testing and deliveryDevelop business cases in partnership with business
Interview business subject matter experts and document requirements
Translate business requirements into technology solutions. Includes fit-gap analysis & application of best practices to create reusable, configurable, & high performing application designs
Develop test scenarios and execute test cycles
Facilitate user acceptance testing
Ensure cross-impacted areas are identified and engaged
Ensure adherence to project methodology and project plan
Must be able to create effective tech design documents to clearly communicate designs to offshore development teams
CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENTMaintains client relationshipsCommunicates with all levels of internal and external clients to gather and clarify requirements and execute project activities
Understands client needs & manages expectations
STAFF MANAGEMENTExperience working with off-shore resourcesExperience working in large project teams
Ability to translate and communicate complex concepts to peers and business partners
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment with tight deadlines and multiple projects occurring at once
Experience with international projects a plus
Demonstrated ability to leverage and mentor others
Consulting experience desired
CONSULTS WITH FUNCTIONAL TEAM MEMBERS:In defining the business requirements, determining scope, & identifying alternatives & limitations for system enhancements & change requestsActing as a tech SME for application & architecture functionality & code for client specific business processes
Providing estimates for work effort duration for change requests & new dev efforts
