Solution Design Consultant
| Description: | | Overview: Client is seeking a talented Solution Design Consultant for Philadelphia, PA. This position will require a technical design consultant to work with business and technical team members in defining requirements and contributing to integration and system design for enterprise systems/applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in requirements definition, system analysis, high level and low level design for commercial grade systems within the telecommunications industry. Previous experience in the telecommunication industry is required. Previous technical consulting experience is preferred. This position requires a self-motivated candidate to work under minimal supervision in order to address the challenge at hand. Previous development experience and knowledge of leading development methodologies including agile, waterfall and scrum) would be beneficial. Responsibilities: - Work with Client staff in defining business requirements and use cases for telecommunication services supporting systems Interfaces with Technology and Business stakeholders to gather, define and document functional and technical requirements.
- Analyze existing integration system and architecture in order to contribute to the definition and design of new integration points Analyzes existing requirements and define new requirements in order to contribute to the design of a reliable and flexible solutions Contribute to the system changes to system architecture
- Drive technical design and support other phases of the SDLC with a hands-on approach as required
- Proactively raises issues if specification will lead to quality, system performance, or architectural issues in product.
- Recommend action plan and communicate issues to management, development, architects or stakeholders as necessary
- Participates in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews and peer reviews; contributes to development project estimates, scheduling, test plans, and code reviews.
- Provide executive level status reporting on progress and challenges
Qualifications: - Excellent oral and written communication
- 5+ years of development experience
- 5+ years of technical and functional requirements definition
- 5+ years in designing solutions for enterprise systems
- 5+ years of telecommunication experience
- Proficiency tools, such as Word, Power Point Presentation and Excel
- Demonstrates attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
- Be capable of thinking "outside of the box" in investigating problems
- Demonstrates ability to provide clear and detailed status on what has been completed for the day
- Demonstrates ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrates ability to work in teams as well as independently with little supervision
- Proficiency tools, such as Word, Power Point Presentation and Excel
- Willingness to travel 100% when business needs require.

- Technical Bachelors degree is a computer related program
- Previous development experience for enterprise applications and solutions
- Strong writing skills for authoring requirements and design documentation
- Previous experience contributing to each phase of the system development life cycle for a major software release
