Duration: 8 Months  

 

 

System Administration of Sun and Linux servers for a new Message Platform requiring advanced Unix/Linux Administration/Installation/Tuning skills.
Must have detailed knowledge of server hardware, application and scripting design and implementation to include Automation Design and Implementation, Strong Troubleshooting and Trouble Resolution, Production Application Installation, Corporate and VMS OSS Tools, Project Management and Coordination
o Alarming and Fault Tolerance for the Messages Platform requiring - HP OpenView, Blue Elephant, Expertise in Monitoring and Alarming in Production Environment
o Build and upgrade Sun and Linux servers
o Troubleshooting in a production environment
o Develop, test, and document operational procedures and process
o Automation Design and Implementation
o Application and Scripting Design
o Data Manipulation and Transport
o Setting alarm severity
o Identify and implement alarming and monitoring solutions
