Title: Sr. iPhone / iPad Developer
Location: Long island, NY

Job Description:
The candidate needs to have experience as a team lead who has also worked with end users to gather requirements (use cases), explain capability and feasibility, etc. Consultation experience would be a nice to have.
This will be the first iOS developer. They also have an Android developer on staff. Both the new IOS candidate and the current Android developer will report directly to the Director of Corporate Information Technology. The position requires 100% development and NO management responsibility.
Some of the work will be to talk to business users to help gather requirements, explain feasibility/non-feasibility, work with server-side developers on architecting/designing an overall solution, write up the design specification, etc. These are the tasks other than pure iOS development.
The developer will be designing and developing mobile applications tied to internal and external web applications at client site. In addition to standard software development, this position will perform strong data analysis and design and conduct Test Driven Development/Unit Testing within formal software delivery and quality methodologies. Applicant will work with internal analysts, business experts, and external design agencies.
Candidate should be proficient in most of the following skills:
· Experience in mobile application development (iPhone/iPad), including development best practices
· Experience with iOS/Objective C/Cocoa Touch for iPhone
· Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript specific for mobile web application
· Experience with Web Services (REST/XML/SOAP/JSON)
· Server side web application development experience in J2EE/Java using Oracle database, including experience in Design Patterns, XML/XSL, AJAX, Dojo
· Experience with eCommerce systems a plus
· Experience with formal software delivery and quality methodologies
· Fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving
· Ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of multiple teams
· Strong oral and written communication skills
