Job Title: Peoplesoft DBA

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 6 Months+

Skills: Supporting SR related DB activities for a release

Data migration between instances/ Schemas ( Import/Export)

 Maintain PeopleSoft Schema / Database for each of the PeopleSoft instance. This will include, troubleshooting the problems with various database objects like table spaces, temporary tablespace, rollback tablespace and extents.

 Perform approved alters and builds within PeopleSoft Schema.

Perform approved data updates and table backup.

Manage PeopleSoft Schema / Database security

Perform PeopleSoft Application tuning that will include, Partition Tables, Analyze tables/indexes, rebuild tables/indexes and histograms periodically or as and when required.

Work with PS Administrator during for migrations to run any database scripts and build PeopleSoft related database objects, if necessary.

Communicate with IBM Services for any Database specific issues.

Co–ordinate with IBM DBA to carry out database tuning, refresh, backup & recovery. IBM will perform all database refresh, backup & recovery, Cognizant will coordinate to insure that Process Scheduler and Application servers are up and running as required once IBM performs such task
