Job Title   :   Systems Engineering
Location   :   San Jose, CA
Duration  :   9+ months
Rate          :    $50/Hr

 

Description:
The Ideal candidate will support all IT infrastructure for Force10. Own the  IT integration. Operation & infrastructure
Candidates are required to have background in Storage . Storage as pertains to virtualization.
Expertize on  VMware  and Microsoft Exchange is critical.

 

This person will be working as part of the client's/ Force10 IT integration team you will have responsibility for 2 key tracks, email integration and virtualization of the former Force10 server infrastructure. In addition he/she will also help provide operational support for the legacy Force10 Windows based servers and storage systems.

 

Required Skills:
- Windows Server 2003/2008
- Virtualization with VMware
- Active Directory
- Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007
- TCP/IP networking

 

Other Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
- 10 years of experience with Windows and exchange servers, including 3 years in a Virtualized environment
- Demonstrated ability to complete multiple, complex technical projects
- Ability to lead technical discussions and projects with the IT Operations team, as well as to work collaboratively with the team to meet deadlines
- Ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic environment, and deliver objectives when expected
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

 

Working Knowledge of:
- Windows/Unix integration
- LDAP
- Virtualization with hyperV, and Solaris Zones
- DNS, NIS, SMTP, FTP, SSH and other common protocols
- Bourne shell, Perl, and Python scripting
- Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Visio
