Responsibilities

This senior individual contributor position is focused on database software development projects. The individual will be involved in the full life cycle (analysis, design, development and maintenance) of software projects. This position requires data modeling, design and development of Data Warehouse or OLTP applications on an Oracle/Unix-based platform. Responsibilities will also include dimensional modeling and developing ETL processes for Data Warehouse applications. This individual will be responsible for writing detailed analysis and design documents.

 

Qualifications and Experience

• BS Computer Science/Information System or related field

• 8+ years of demonstrated experience on developing database applications and documentation for OLTP or Data Warehouse database systems in an Oracle and Unix environment.

• Demonstrated proficiency with Oracle PL/SQL Development, SQL, Data Modeling and DB Performance Tuning on Unix.

• The ideal candidate should be an excellent problem solver with solid oral and written communication skills.

• 5+ years experience with Oracle 10g/11g and PL/SQL development

• 5+ years experience with Oracle SQL tuning

• 5+ years experience in shell scripting on Unix platforms

 

The Desired skills

• 5+ years experience in Oracle Database Administration and Performance Tuning

• 3+ years experience in Data Warehousing

• 3+ years experience with BI Reporting Tools
