Title: Data Modeler

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Duration: 6 Months

 

Job Description:

·        Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for OLTP, DSS relational and DSS multidimensional database solutions.

·         Develop and implement strategies and methodologies in support of Master Data Management initiatives.

·         Lead or actively participate in end-user requirement gathering meetings

·         Facilitate modeling sessions and design walk-throughs with DBA and development team members

·         Work with DBA to convert logical data models to physical data models for implementation

·         Gather and maintain accurate metadata in Erwin models.

·         Work with Data Architecture team to ensure proposed database implementation

·         Provide operational support for existing models including impact analysis, logical and physical data model changes and   metadata updates.

·         Follow corporate best practices for Data Administration and Data Modeling to support the corporate methodologies.

·         Write efficient SQL and store procedures against database tables on various platforms.

·         Profile and analyze data during the application development.  Act as a data SME for developers, testers and business analysts.

·         Create and maintain the XML schema and collaborate with SOA developers during WSDL creation.

·         Tutor and mentor less experienced data models on data modeling best practices.
