Location for both the positions is at Nashville with open to travel to NC
POSITION: Business System Analyst (BSA)
Role Description
This position will be responsible for requirement analysis, designing and implementing the data management processes and as a part of delivering data migration solutions to clients. This position reports to an Engagement Manager on a project-by-project basis, and to the Program Director from an administrative standpoint.
Responsibilities
The resource will have the following specific responsibilities:
· Work with the business stakeholders to gather and define detailed requirements, convert those requirements into functional designs and support those functional designs through the project lifecycle to deployment with a specific focus on data migration
· Analyze, define source and target structure and perform gap analysis for data migration
· Perform field mapping (mapping between the source and target structure with data cleansing, if necessary)
· Define the migration process, Create data extractions from the legacy system and Cleanse the data extractions according to mapping guidelines
· Work with developers to hand-over design specifications and clarify requirements
· Provide analysis and support for the project management, development, and QA teams throughout the migration life cycle
· Assist/author in the development of training and/or technical documentation
Skills and Experience Required
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 8 years of total I.T. experience including 6 years experience as a business system analyst with a focus on data migration projects
- Excellent technical and business problem analytical skills including ability to understand and breakdown complex scenarios and missing information
- Experience writing test plans, cases and creating process flow diagrams
- Strong written and communication skills and interview skills
- Strong organizing and planning skills with proven ability to multi-task and problem solving skills
- Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite
Desired Skills/Education
- Familiar with development and testing of modern Microsoft technologies including: SQL, Stored procedures, SQL server, SSIS, and SSRS
- Experience with quality assurance method0logy
- Prior experience as a software developer is a plus
- Understanding of the Healthcare domain is a plus
- Bachelor Degree required
- Team player and work effectively with project management
