Position: Oracle DBA

Location: Lansdale, PA.

Duration: 6 months

Locals or nearby face to face must

 

v     They need an analyst to come in and support the efforts (move to Windows 7 and Office 10) of moving forward with this initiative. Getting everyone migrated consists not only of Windows 7 and Office 10 but also the local and server applications that exist for each user. Some can be migrated and some perhaps not. The analyst will need to retrieve the data from Oracle to see if the migration is possible.

v     Writing SQL Queries is important. The selected individual must know their way around an Oracle DB, purely from retrieving data and analyzing. They will also need to communicate to the users on any hurdles or support scenarios when it comes to the applications and migration. The other skill is the ability to use Oracle to organize and group together target areas for migration dates.

v     The Support Analyst will have the ability to code (backend SQL, PLSQL) to help group together future groups of migration efforts along with the creativity used in the migration scheduling efforts.

v     Finally, communication is the top priority. The client is also looking for collaboration, continuity, and accountability. They must be able to recognize this personality in the interview. The resource will work very closely with the Project Manager who is leading this initiative therefore they will get exposure to PM skills as well.

 

Extensive Oracle DB skills

- PLSQL/ SQL Queries

- Addition development languages in Oracle to help organization

- Previous support/analysis responsibilities a MUST
