Position: Data Modeler

Location: Miami, FL

Duration: 6+ months

 

* Drive design of data structures

* Reverse engineer source system structures for model sourcing

* Create Conceptual/Logical/Physical models for staging and data warehouse

* Provide hands-on data modeling support for a variety of assignments and have a quick grasp of new business environments

* Conduct Model reviews with project team members

* Assist ETL team to define source-to-target mappings

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

* Must have an in-depth understanding of OLTP and Data Warehouse modeling concepts

* In-depth understanding of data modeling concept and principles

* Experience storing metadata/data dictionaries within formal modeling tool

* 5+ years working as data modeler

* 5+ years working using data modeling tools such as ERWIN or ER Studio supporting IT development projects

* 5+ years of SQL experience

* Must have in-depth experience on at least one major RDBMS platform (Oracle, or SQL Server)

* Must be able to work independently or as part of a team to develop the required solution

* Strong written and verbal communications required for customer and team interaction

* Strong organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with IT development teams in an agile environment

* Familiarity with integration tools such as Informatica a plus

* Familiarity with BI tools such as OBI is a plus

 

Data Modeling Skills:

* OLTP and Data Warehouse Modeling

* Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models

* Entity Level, Primary Key Level, Fully Attributed 3rd Normal Level

* Warehouse: Normalized, Atomic Historical Grain, Generalized; Staging, ODS and Warehouse

* Star Schema Data Mart: Conformed Dimensions and Fact Tables.
