Position: Vmware Admin

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Duration: 6 Months

 

Virtualization - Vmware and provisioning

Should have strong domain knowledge in virtual server (VMware/Hyper-V), physical server and datacenter management. Have relevant experience in VMware with Windows & UNIX environments.

In-depth expertise and hands-on on below areas

Hands on experience on VMware vSphere 4 and vSphere 5

VCP4 or above Certification is preferred

Proficient administration and troubleshooting of DRS, HA, FT, Chargeback, vCenter Configuration Manager, VMware Clod Director, VCOPs, Lab, VDI, SRM

Experience in P2V on Windows & Linux, Vmotion and VMware vCenter

Good hands on experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESX server environment including ESX CLI, ESX patch management

Good hands on experience in performance tuning of VMware servers, Backup and Recovery 

Proficient with developing and using Power Shell scripts to manage/maintain the VMware ESX environment

Awareness in ITIL V3 processes

Perform VMware environment auditing and remediate as needed to ensure compliance to standards

Hardware knowledge and hands-on on Dell server products especially on blade servers

Experience  in Hyper-V

Knowledge in MS failover clustering

Knowledge about Dell tools like Dell ITA/OME console

Datacenter operations and administration

Physical server racking and stacking

Experience on BIOS upgrade

Maintaining server inventory

Knowledge on structured cabling             5+ Years
