Position: Performance Mobile Applications QA Tester

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• This position is responsible for managing phone OEM vendors on various certification programs that verifies mobile device performance against existing and proposed device features and applications, Improve user experience, characterizes post launch device and major application data performance.
• Create/Analyze application usage trends; generate trend analysis reports to executive management.
• This contract position is responsible for performing detailed device and application analysis for various Mobile devices, including iOS, Android, RIM, BREW
• Must be strongly results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to effectively execute and manage device testing and OEM vendors.
• Must possess and demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude.
• Develop testing strategies to efficiently test mobile application measurements on various mobile devices (3G/4G) (Smart phones, tablets, etc).
• Work closely with 3rd party vendors by efficiently and effectively guiding them so as to meet the needs of the business.
• Develop reports that trend and analyze key device performance statistics for the whole country. Familiarity with data analysis is a plus.
• Responsible for providing leadership and technical direction to 3rd party vendors that support testing.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion all testing activities and provide results to the Executive Management.
• Ability to present technical results to executive management.
• Ability to create device requirements documents that would contribute to improving quality of products.
Knowledge & Experience
• BS in Electrical / Electronics or Computer Engineering. Master's degree preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of current experience in mobile telecommunications. MUST HAVE HANDSET MOBILE APPLICATION CERTIFICATION EXPERIENCE.
• Knowledge and experience with Android OS, Apple iOS, RIM OS, required.
• Knowledge and experience with BREW, Windows Mobile or other handset based OS a plus.
• Knowledge of APIs, client/server and/or distributed computing architecture, internet protocols and technologies is essential.
• Strong mobile telecommunications industry knowledge, including experience with handset manufacturers, network equipment vendors, and/or mobile operators; experience with 3GPP2 and/or 3GPP wireless technologies, especially CDMA and LTE.
• At least 3 years experience in testing devices and/or network infrastructure equipment.
• At least 3 years experience related to mobile application testing/development.

• Ability to quickly grasp new technologies and react in a fast changing environment.
• Organized and detail oriented thought process.
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Experience in developing testing architectures and test plans.
• Strong knowledge of network and device performance tools.
• Ability to analyze data and interpret the results.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Self-starter and Team Player.
• Deep understanding of mobile software development practices.
