Title: 4GL Developer

Location: Dayton, OH

Length: 1 Year+

 

 

Essential Job Functions:

•              Develop enhancements/applications according to the project plan.

•              Create appropriate documentation for the project and to support the application on-going.

•              Work with multiple teams (i.e. Support Center, project team, store personnel, etc.) to complete project deliverables and to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

•              Work as both a team participant and individual contributor technical role.

 

Skills and Requirements:

•              4-6 years of programming and scripting experience in a variety of languages

•              Strong Informix 4GL programming skills required

•              Experience with Informix database environments

•              Good understanding of Linux / UNIX / SCO operating systems

•              Good understanding of Korn shell scripting.

•              Experience with SQL (on any database product)

•              Application software: Telnet, Tinyterm, UNIX, Crontab, Korn shell scripting

•              Experience in coordinating across multiple technical teams in executing system deployment, and analyzing and resolving system operations problems

•              Strong documentation skills required

•              Responsible, accountable, highly motivated and customer service oriented

•              Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from varying skill sets and backgrounds

•              Ability to learn quickly. Strong analytical and troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis skills
