Required Skills
· A minimum of 7 years of experience with Java
· 5+ years creating object oriented designs and implementing service oriented architectures
· 4+ years of experience developing user interfaces with AJAX/Jquery/CSS/HTML
· The candidate will be required to demonstrate your design and coding skills.
· Working experience with REST based web services
· Working experience with Agile Scrum
· Working experience with Agile engineering practices (continuous integration, automated testing, automated builds, ant/maven, xUnit testing, etc.)
· Good source code control (CVS/SVN, branches, etc.)
· Must be able to review business/functional requirements, and provide detailed design specifications and estimates of work required.
· Ability to translate project design into code, working within an existing Java framework
· Must meet tight deadlines and work on several projects simultaneously
· Must be able to work within a team environment as well as work independently on projects.
· Excellent oral/written communication and problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills/Experience:
· Experience developing application front-ends to data warehouse decision support systems
· Experience with Mandrian database applications is a plus
· Financial services industry experience and knowledge of financial services concepts.
· Understanding of highly scalable and high-performing web application design
