Windows Engineer w/ VMWARE ESX

Overview:
The candidate must have heavy background in all current Windows OSs,x86 technologies. Must understand multiple hypervisors/virtual technology, HP server hardware, and HP tools software.
This HANDS ON position is key to developing the engineering platform and long term future direction plans of the technology roadmap for Windows.
The engineer will be responsible to develop Windows solutions and develop actionable plans to execute our go forward strategy, or promote
standardization and simplification. The candidate would bring leading industry best practices and have professional verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements:
• 7 -10 Years of overall IT experience
• 5 experience in Windows Server management and VMware ESX Management
• Windows server management – IIS, OS installation and maintenance
• VMware ESX – Enterprise level experience
• Experience in large enterprises
• HP Blade Hardware experience, management, rack mount and blade technology installation
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong team working skills
• Analytical and detail oriented – individuals must have passion and initiative
• Independent-thinker and self-starter, who still can work well within team environment
• Follow-up and attention to detail with great customer service skills
• Good deductive reasoning skills and creative thinker
Some flexibility in experience level, should have exposure to:
• Citrix Xenapp – Enterprise level experience
• Tools – Sitescope, RDP, VBscript, Powershell
• Fluent in Active Directory, Network Management
• Provide lead role in various level projects and initiatives.
• Effective communication and relationship building skills
Preferred skills:
• Performance and tuning experience.
• Demonstrated competency in Technical Writing
• Disaster recovery experience and knowledge.
• Ability to open, manage, solve and close problems with vendor support centers.
