Project Description:

Labs web application services - development and support including Lightspeed web applications.
Development and support (back-end/front-end) of custom web and software applications and software built on C/.NET framework and Windows SharePoint Services platforms as per instruction, while following appropriate procedures. Will support and provide enhancements to existing applications and automation of processes. Implementation of C class libraries as well as reusable components in an IIS/.NET environment using industry standards for software design, implementation and testing. Follow specifications, plans and designs in order to analyze complex and business critical software solutions. Utilize appropriate software engineering best practices, individually or in concert with a project team. Understand and constantly apply the attributes and processes of current best practice development methodologies. Write code and documentation in a timely manner in order to complete a task. Research and maintain knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business. Work closely with our clients business team supporting and coordinating team tasks and deliverables. Perform support development tasks on a daily basis at the same time as product development tasks.
Will be responsible for developing the code in a test environment, will be responsible for quality assurance testing, debugging, and troubleshooting package deployment problems.
Job Description:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• 3 years experience with ASP.NET Development.
• 3 years experience with .NET 3 or above.
• Proficient in C
• Proficient in Visual Studio 2008
• Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript (including as pertains to SharePoint)
• Proficient with OO Design and Implementation
• Experience with JIRA
• Experience with the following: WSDL, XML, SOAP, JS, Perl,
• Experience in knowledge of SharePoint SDKs
• Experience with JAVA
• Experience in Web services multi threading
• Experience in error logging to SharePoint diagnostic logs, application event logs
• Experience in writing Reusable Code as it pertains to SharePoint solutions
• Experience with db programming (Oracle and SQLServer)
• Experience with any of the following: CVS, SVN, GIT, SourceSafe
• Experience in designing and implementing re-usable components
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of performance tuning in IIS
• Knowledge in developing Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Enterprise Packaged Solutions, custom web parts, custom VS SP workflows, custom content types.
• Knowledge of building and maintaining Microsoft SharePoint applications using Microsoft's best practices and Microsoft's object oriented methodology.
• Knowledge writing least privileged SharePoint Solutions.
• Knowledge with SharePoint features and usage at a power user level.
• Knowledge with SharePoint Solution Deployment process and write packages accordingly for SharePoint engineers to be able to deploy their solutions to the front end servers.
• Basic understanding of Active Directory authentication
DESIRED SKILLS:
• Experience with SQL 2008 Reporting Services integration to MOSS 2007 is a plus but not required.
• Experience with any of the following: CVS, SVN, GIT, SourceSafe
• Experience with unit testing or writing automated test cases and/or test harnesses
