This person will be supporting the Business Solutions organization within Enterprise Systems, specifically the Business Solutions Marketing/CRM team. Ideal candidate will have the ability to put complex ideas into clear communication and architectural drawings.
Job Description:
This position should have expert level understanding of marketing automation tools and technologies, advanced analytics, data integration, business intelligence, data architecture, web services, and SOA. The ideal candidate for this position should have performed as a solutions architect in the past and led technical project delivery for marketing automation and customer data mart implementations. The candidate should also have experience with campaign management systems architecture (preferably SAS and/or Unica) and familiarity with physical implementation, as well as integrating advanced analytics and response tracking. This role is for a Marketing/CRM solution expert that understands the full lifecycle business process and has demonstrated the ability to create world class solutions with measureable impact.
The Sr. Solutions Architect provides leadership within the Business Solutions team and is responsible for regular communications with Analysts, Developers, QA testers, Enterprise Architecture team, and support groups. This individual will also provide architectural solutions and have responsibility for overall design in various marketing related projects and ensure that business requirements can be satisfied by the most efficient and effective solutions.
As a senior business solutions resource and subject matter expert, this team member will work closely with the requirements teams and business groups. This person will be a key leader in the area of database marketing and marketing automation to develop and communicate functional and technology roadmaps in alignment with business strategies and initiatives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with business teams and technical analysts to understand business requirements.
Determine how to leverage technology to create solutions that satisfy the business requirements.
Serve as a technical resource for business teams to help define, estimate, and propose solutions for business opportunities.
Provide critical architectural inputs during RFI and RFP process.
Create architecture and technical design documents to communicate solutions that will be implemented by the development team.
Develop proofs-of-concept and prototypes to help illustrate approaches to technology and business problems.
Prepare visual diagrams of system architecture, functionality, and process flows.
Work with development, infrastructure, test, and production support teams to ensure proper implementation of solution.
Educate organization on available and emerging toolsets.
Present solutions to clients, project teams, and other stakeholders adapting style to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to define service delivery landscape
Work in an ambiguous, large and complex organization on tight-timelines with DBA team to ensure set-up of environment
Experience Requirements:
Experience implementing campaign management and other marketing automation solutions including inbound and outbound offers.
Experience implementing data environments in support of marketing functions including: campaign management, advanced analytics, and response tracking.
Capable of performing design and configuration of complex systems with a focus on best practices for scalability, supportability and ease of administration and system performance.
Understanding of the software development life-cycle, including traditional large-scale waterfall as well as Agile and Scrum-based models.
Excellent organization skills - ability to work effectively and independently prioritize tasks in a fast changing environment.
Experience working with vendors to evaluate, select, and implement 3rd party solutions.
Familiarity with all data warehousing components (data acquisition, ETL, data modeling, infrastructure, profiling and reporting)
Familiarity with web services implementations and service oriented architectures
Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as Business Objects and SAS.
Familiarity with data modeling techniques for 3NF, dimensional models and hyper-normalized models.
Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in a team environment with team members of various technical skill levels.
5+ years experience with the following technologies
o RDBMS (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server)
o Unix and Windows operating systems
o ETL Tools (Informatica, SSIS, etc.)
o Reporting, Analytic and OLAP tools
o Campaign Management tools (Unica, SAS, Infor, etc)
o Infrastructure components including server configuration, SAN, NAS, and networking
Education:
A bachelor's degree in business, computer science or management information systems
Certification on Teradata, Informatica, Business Objects, Business Intelligence preferred
