Position:  Teradata DBA

Location: NC.  

Duration: 6-12 months

 

Teradata DBA Needed in the Healthcare Industry! A Teradata Database Administrator is being recruited by a leading healthcare company to provide all aspects of database administration associated with supporting application project teams. This position is responsible for providing project related support in a large production 24x7 Teradata database environment. Your support responsibilities will include, design, modeling, space utilization, performance tuning and optimization. You must have the ability to work independently on technical functions including creating and maintaining databases and be able to provide on-call support on a rotating 4 week cycle. To qualify, you must have 3 to 5 years experience working as a Teradata DBA providing project/application support and have strong SQL skills. Strong Teradata skills are a must. Experience with load utilities, modeling, backup and recovery is an advantage as is any experience with Oracle. A Teradata Masters Certification is preferred.
