Client is looking for Sr Java Front End Developer, Albany, NY. This is 6+ months contract. They have 3 positions to fill. Face to face interview maybe required. Locals preferred.

 

Required skills:

 

As a Java Developer in clients New York City office, your primary task will be to apply existing technologies to deliver new products and upgrades by creating scalable code that talks to different systems internally. Your ability to grasp requirements from multiple conversations and synthesize the pertinent information will assist you in bringing order to the process and advancing projects towards successful deployment. Most of the projects will have very short deployment cycles (a long cycle for us is two months), thereby keeping your work fresh and interesting.

 

Minimum 6-7 yrs of IT industry experience required including:

 

-       superior Java coding skills,

-       experience and comfort with unit testing,

-       debugging production issues,

-       transforming XML with XSLT

-       object/relational mapping (JDBC, Hibernate, etc.),

-       web services (REST, SOAP, etc.), and

-       messaging middleware

Aptitude for doing more than simply coding (functioning at times as a BA and/or a PM), plus a knack for thinking outside of the box will enable you to properly view our technology and products and suggest further innovation.  This is a singular opportunity to enhance the skills in your career portfolio in a dynamic, unique and collaborative working environment.
