MSBI Platform Re-Architecture Project

SQL Server DBA 2005/2008 with experience to utilize advanced database technical design and administration skills covering a broad range and/or technical depth that is of strategic significance to the company, provides database creation, installation, maintenance, and administration support for assigned functional area.

Skill Set Requirements

-          Knowledge of SQL Server 2008

-          Extensive knowledge of SQL Server 2005

-          Migration and upgrade support to SQL Server 2008

-          This is a research project, DBA will be required to document findings as we are moving to a new technology.

-          Required: strong writing skills and problem solving skills

-          Ability to document DBA standards and step by step instructions for support DBAs

-          Drives Innovation

-          Knowledge of  SQL Server 2008 specialized technologies (Clustering, Encryption, Compression, Replication & Partitioning)

-          3 to 5 yrs of SQL Server 2005 DBA experience

-          6 months of  SQL Server 2008 experience

-          Duration 3 – 6 months

-          Results-oriented, strong attention to detail

-          Excellent time management skills

-          Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

-          Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge

-          Experience in an enterprise environment is a plus

-          Ability to interact effectively with other IS departments and management
