Title: Project Manager

Location: Albany NY

Duration: 6-12 Months

 

PM - The consultant will have overall accountability for the planning and successful execution of multiple, simultaneous application and infrastructure large scale projects, employing varied technologies across business units.  The individual must ensure project delivery is in accordance with the requested deliverables and within the required standard of quality including the specified constraints of time and cost.

 

Essential Assignment Functions:

• Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Determine required resources per project and obtain resources through strong interpersonal skills and negotiating tactics
• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of projects and corresponding scope
• Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
• Work with business managers to fully understand business requirements and uncover additional needs, resolve project roadblocks and manage / mitigate risks and issues.
• Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards.
• Secure and manage strong professional relationships, enabling necessary support and commitment to managed projects.
• Review deliverables and ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
• Capture and integrate key project metrics related to scorecard and status reporting.

Effectively communicates relevant project information to team, stakeholders and superiors.

 

Required skills:

 Health care experience strongly preferred.

·      Bachelor's degree required (Master's Degree preferred).

·      PMP Certification required.

·      7+ years experience in professional project management within IT environment.

·      Demonstrated success in leading and executing large complex projects.

·      Superior communication skills with the ability to communicate easily at all levels of the organization.

·      Proven track record of successful delivery.

·      Possess a strong sense of accountability and urgency in completing assignments.
