| Location | : Livingston, NJ | | Duration | : 6 Months Contract | | Required | : Face-Face, Telephonic | | | | Description: | This position will work directly with the Hyperion BI Application team and the External Reporting group to gather business requirements, design, develop and test an Essbase database and reporting solution. S/he will be responsible for documenting all aspects of the project and presenting materials to Hyperion BI Application team. S/he will be responsible for conducting weekly status meetings and other meetings as necessary; preparing meeting and presentation materials; and communicating project status to various audiences. This position will ultimately deliver the completed solution and transition all working knowledge to members of the Hyperion BI Application team.
Position Responsibility:
The Hyperion Essbase Application Developer will be responsible for the design, development and deployment of the new application. The candidate will be required to:
• Partner with Hyperion BI Application team on all phases of the project
• Gather business requirements from External Reporting team
• Document all requirements and design
• Conduct status meetings and other meetings as necessary; communicate project status in a timely fashion
• Develop Essbase Analytics database w/ guidance/direction from CIT and in step with Oracle best practices
• Develop standardized Excel templates for all components of the project
• Document all testing results for all application components
• Work with CIT to deploy application to Production and transfer all knowledge to in-house team members
Minimum Required Skills and Experience:
• Experienced in documenting, designing, testing and implementing both process & technical solutions.
• A minimum of four (4) years experience creating Hyperion Essbase applications (Version 9 or greater).
• Strong experience with the entire Microsoft Office Professional Suite, and advanced experience with Excel and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
• Strong experience using the Essbase Excel Add-in tool and related API.
• Proficiency in the Essbase Administrative tools (security, calculations, load rules, etc.).
• Experience with Data Modeling and Software Development Life Cycle.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal competencies along with detail-oriented and problem solving skills in the technology arena.
• Proficient in software documentation, from Design documents to User Procedures
• Experience with application testing including the creation of test scripts and documenting test results |
