Websphere Portal WCM Developer

Location: Ft. Worth local candidates

Duration: 6+ month contract  

 

 

Summary: Websphere Portal WCM Developer with a proven background in the delivery of complex Websphere Portal based solutions. Strong knowledge of the Websphere Portal WCM Platform. Knowledge of Websphere portlet factory and/or RAD preferred. Strong Knowledge of J2EE architecture and design patterns. Responsibilities involve the participation in design and development efforts; applying appropriate design patterns and best practices; develop and unit test J2EE and Websphere Portal based solutions.

Education/Experience
Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent training required
8-10 years experience required

Responsibility level
Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor

Skills
. Strong experience IBM Websphere Portal 6.x, WCM, Connections - configuration setup and development
. Minimum 3 years experience with IBM Portal/collaboration technologies
. Minimum 5 years experience with J2EE and Web Development technologies like JSP, JavaScript, HTML, XML and CSS.
. Experience designing WCM sites from the ground up is desired
. Experience in WCM site and portlet development, including the following:
oPortal Security
oWCM Security
oTaxonomy and Categorization
oComplex Workflows
oPage and Portlet layout
oExperience in JSP Development using WCM APIs
oExperience in data personalization

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
. Participate in the design and development of Websphere Portal based solutions
. Development of themes, skins, portlets, WCM taxonomy development, WCM authoring workflows
. Work with the various technical teams to integrate Lotus Connections
. HTML, Javascript, AJAX, XML, Servlet/JSP development
