SAP Payroll Functional Developer
The SAP Payroll Developer will work with Customer Solutions Leads and business clients to support and implement global processes primarily using standard SAP solutions as well as other systems interfaced with SAP to support the business process.
Solution Support and Development
· Work with Customer Solutions lead and business personnel to understand various human resource related business processes, such as Organizational Management, Personnel Administration, Payroll, Time Evaluation/CATS, Compensation and interfaces, and provide the technology to support these processes
· Based on requirements submitted by the business, develop detailed functional and technical specifications for changes to the SAP ECC system
· Primary responsibility for incident management and resolution for area of responsibility
· Understand and follow all relevant standard IT processes and procedures
· Perform configuration for the HR SAP modules of Payroll, Time Evaluation and interfaces with third party vendors.
· Candidate must have the ability to evaluate and analyze highly complex configuration scenarios and understand how they impact process changes across other HR and SAP modules.
· Consult with ABAP developers and provide technical specs to develop customized solutions
· Consult with other custom code developers and provide technical specs for interfaced solutions
· Perform unit testing of changes (configuration, custom development, etc) in development and staging environments, including regression testing of functionality that may be impacted by change.
· Coordinate long chain testing where appropriate of changes (configuration, custom development, etc) in development and staging environments
· Provide input and suggestions based on knowledge of area of responsibility
· Provide prototypes of new functionality based on client needs
· Investigate and resolve incidents reported by users
· Provide support for other activities that impact the HR/Payroll area, such as configuration changes to support changing business conditions, SAP ECC upgrades, application of hot packs, project work, etc.
· Provide ad hoc training and knowledge to business super-users as required in run and maintain activities, such as remedial training, issue resolution, etc.
· Responsible for supporting year end activities for supported payroll areas.
Required Skills
· Demonstrated proficiency in SAP Human Resources/Payroll
· Experience with SAP ECC 5.0 or SAP ECC 6.0
· Experience supporting international payrolls such as UK, France, Germany, etc. – Preferably French Payroll
· Ability to relate technical ideas and functionality to non-technical users
· 7+ years SAP experience
· Experience in configuration, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and implementing enhancements and break fix solutions to SAP HR/Payroll/Time Management modules with very complex Payroll Schemas in support of production activities
· Experience in the application and testing of SAP notes and support packs.
· Knowledge of integration between Time Management, Payroll and FICO
Additional Requirements
· Some overtime will be required
· Early or late hours sometimes required for meetings with European and Asian personnel
· Familiarity with the following is a plus:
o SAP FICO
o SAP PM
o EPI-USE
o ABAP/ABAP Debugging
o BW
