Client is looking for an Informatica ETL Developer for a 3 month + project in Central PA. . DBA experience would be useful as well as experience with Teradata, DB2, and DataStage. Major tasks and responsibilities are as follows:
Location: Central PA
Duration: 3+ months
Develop extract, transform and load programs that move data from a DB2 data warehouse on AIX to a Teradata data warehouse
Configuration, tune and implement Informatica for integration with applications, web services, and/or data transport utilities.
Additional responsibilities include:
1. Designs, develops, and tests the scripts required to extract, transform, clean, and move data and metadata so it can be loaded into a data warehouse, data mart, or operational data store.
2. Imports and merges data from required data sources and applications.
3. Prepares documentation for all developed procedures.
4. Works with business area product line analyst to identify and understand source systems.
5. Implements business rules based on business specifications and in alignment with established application architectures.
6. Maps source system data to data warehouse architecture.
7. Develops and tests ETL processes.
8. Performs data cleansing and validation functions.
9. Maintains performance and tuning of ETL functions.
10. Defines standards and captures metadata and rules associated with ETL processes.
11. Adapts ETL processes to accommodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements.
12. Performs source data analysis and acquisition/Gap analysis.
13. Provides system design to ensure ease of administration, support, and scalability.
14. Designs, develops error-handling and processes recovery strategies.
16. Administers and supports data load processes (monitoring, data recovery).
