We currently have a 3 Months Contracting opportunity for a JavaScript Developer with our client located in Washington, DC.

 

Our client a Fortune 500 media company is developing software to make the TV viewing experience more personal, intuitive, searchable and customizable.  The client work environment is very casual and a cool place to hang around and be surrounded by technical professional who are passionate about their work and congregate to bounce ideas off each other.

Essential Job Functions:

• Write CSS and JS for a prototype web UI
• Rapid iteration of prototype with weekly feature changes
• Deliver functional webpages with these features:
• Rich UI components based on CSS
• Integration with backend service, using JSON and DOM to create client side display of data
• Integration with MySQL service to obtain images for client display

 

Required Skills:

• BS in Computer Science/Engineering /Mathematics or related field, MS preferred.
• Must demonstrate an understanding of core computer science concepts.
• At least 2 years experience desired in web development using javascript and jquery
• Experience with SQL and connecting web pages to DB
• Experience with CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and HTML

·         Experience with JSON, DOM, Eclipse, SVN and MySQL
