The Job Description for the Job: LEAD- for Windows and Linux Consultant.
The Job Description is as follows:
Location: Redmond, WA
Duration: 6 Months
Skill set required (with duration in months):
5 or more years of recent experience in the following items;
• Advanced debugging of applications in the Windows environment
o Specifically, knowledge of debugging applications written in the C programming language on Windows
• In-depth knowledge of the PHP scripting language
• Familiarity with Windows Server (primarily 2008 and 2008 R2)
• Familiarity with IIS6 and IIS7
• Familiarity with Linux administration and installation
• Proven usage of the following technologies production environments - PHP5 (installation and configuration), MySQL, Apache Web Server
o Networking configuration (Windows and Linux)
o Building and installing software on Windows and Linux
• Familiarity with Jscript and/or Ruby
o Please note that our current automation is written in these languages, so candidate must know enough to fix, debug, modify and extend our existing frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
Core Soft Skills Required
• Familiarity with Microsoft's SQL Server (installation, configuration and troubleshooting)
• Pragmatic approach to Linux and Microsoft technologies
• • Familiarity with Microsoft's HyperV virtualization technology
• Hands on experience with other web technologies (Java, J2EE, AJAX, etc)
The following skills are a plus
• Actively contribute to OSS community projects
• BA in Computer Science (or equivalent)
• Familiarity with most larger Linux projects in the areas of usage and deployment (e.g. Open Office, Firefox)
Familiarity with creating and executing test harnesses from scratch
