Position : EDI/HIPAA 834 Specialist

Location : Phoenix, AZ

Duration : 6+ months

Rate         : Open – Commensurate with experience

 

MUST HAVE:

·         HIPAA 834 Experience

 

VERY NICE TO HAVE:

·         4010 TO 5010 migration experience

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Design, build, monitor, support and document interfaces between different the processes including eligibility and enrollment, claims and demographics/assessments and external partners. This will involve some system design and R&D to improve functional and operational efficiencies of all interface implementations and supporting platforms including web services, file transfers, HIPAA X12 transactions etc.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

1.       Design, build (coding & scripting), monitor, support and document interfaces between the client and external systems.

2.       Design, develop and document interface extraction and import specifications prior to implementation, during implementation, and post implementation to ensure interfaces meet client expectations and the expectations of the teams that will support interface implementations.

3.       Prepare accurate and complete technical specifications, such as schema or file specifications, coding/scripting specifications, backup and recovery controls as necessary for all interface and other integration development efforts.

4.       Conduct feasibility studies to determine the most appropriate technical solutions for proposed requirements.

5.       Lead development of interface testing plans.

6.       Research and develop new solutions to meet strategic and client-specific data integration needs Full life-cycle software development, which includes feasibility and/or cost studies. Requirements definition, analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation.

7.       Provide complex application support and guidance to end users, and provides technical guidance to other team members.

8.       Expertise with operational scalability and ability to build plans to improve systems and integration/analytical frameworks

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

1.       HIPAA ASC X-12 834 transaction (Enrollment)

2.       Unix Korn Shell scripting (C programming language)

3.       Strong Oracle PL/SQL (large volume transactions, in the order of tens of thousands to millions of rows)

4.       Knowledge of SQR /AppWorx scheduler is preferred

5.       Good Communication skills
