Job Title: Cognos Lead Developer

Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ/ Bloom Field, CT

Duration: 6 Months+

Skills:

1. 7 years of experience with Cognos Business Intelligence
2. 3 or more years experience with Cognos v8 (or later) suite
3. 3 or more years experience with Cognos Series 7 Transformer and Powerplay, particular experience with upgrading applications to BI
4. 6 or more years experience creating dashboards, metrics manager
5. 6 or more years experience with a SQL language, such as Oracle/DB2/UDB/SQL in medium sized data environments (> 100GB, >1 TB preferred)
6. 6 or more years experience creating power cubes
7. 6 or more years experience with the installation and debug of Cognos products, working with IBM and 3rd parties to solve advanced problems and good industry contacts for best of breed solution-ing
8 or more years experience with data modeling with Cognos Framework Manager or related tools (SSIS, Informatica, Datastage) a plus
9. 10 or more years experience with customer training and presentation and professional corporate project work.
Expert knowledge in Framework Manager, Cognos 8 Studios, and Transformer
* In Depth knowledge of customizing Cognos to suit application delivery needs
* Experience authoring Cognos reports that deliver cross tabs, charts, and other key reporting assets that execute in a timely fashion.
* Working knowledge and experience in Windows 2003 server administration and configuring Cognos in a Wintel environment.
* Good understanding of various database platforms, including Oracle, and MS SQL Strong understanding of Cognos system architecture and technology infrastructure is a plus Extensive experience with MS Excel, spreadsheet presentation, financial modeling, OLAP design.
* Articulate presenter and communicator to execute on business needs.
