Position:  Senior Datastage Developer

Location: NJ

Duration: 6+ months

Local candidates only, in person interview is a must.

 

Pharma exp will be huge plus

 

Senior Data Stage Developer (1):

Datastage resource will be the SME in all the aspects of Datastage applications.

Overall responsibility for ETL jobs and data integration and program the ETL functions including creation of ETL data source tables.

 

Skills:

Able to analyze the data structures, develop mappings, document the ETL system design and communicate the same with the Business SMEs/Analysts

Extensive hands-on expertise using industry standard ETL tools like SAP Data Integrator/Data Services, Micro-strategy or Informatica.

Min 2+ years database experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL

Experience in writing shell scripting for various ETL needs and worked on integrating data from flat files

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

 

Project Responsibilities:

Lead ETL development; production support and release management; design and code reviews for any DataStage ETL releases; Post production support, Business requirements; WR design and development for new functionalities and potentially to include changes to the offshore developed code in preparation of, as well as, further unit testing with real interfaces, system maintenance, new emergency development requests that require a high level of integration (referencing) of other onshore teams and SME's that are not offshorable, mandated code reviews and modifications required for onshore developed programs.

 

Ability to create test plans and test cases; and Quality assurance.

Previous experience in leading and testing within the Agile Model; with Business Requirements gathering and in being able to adopt knowledge transfer from off-shore teams a plus..
