Location: NYC

Duration: 6 months & Renewable

 

 

 

Must be very well spoken, team player, etc.

 

Design: Actual, hands-on experience in design, implementation and testing of pure Java applications (stand alone or Web) Software design, UML (class diagrams, sequence diagrams, use cases, etc.)

Development: Web Services, RESTful API, Web Service Security, JMS, ESB a+, Java Transaction across single and multiple data source, document management, Web Components: JSP, Servlets, Spring

 

Really solid standard Java experience and the ability to use open source libraries (find them, read the documentation and put them to use quickly)

Someone who is sharp and can hit the ground running.

 

1. Core Java Experience; this should include but not be limited to:
1. Solid experience with key Java patform facets: access modifiers, class hierarchy, enums, abstract classes & interfaces, loop constructs
2. Solid experience with java.lang, java.io, and java.util packages.
3. Solid knowledge of Java Collections Framework
4. Knowledge of basic Object Oriented design fundamentals: Inheritance, Polymorphism, Composition, Interface substitution
5. Actual hands-on experience in design, implementation and test of pure Java applications (stand alone or web)
6. Desired familiarity with java.nio, java.util.concurrent package
2. Overall software development knowledge should include the following:
1. Desired knowledge of design patterns: Factory, Builder, Adapter, Strategy, Decorator, Iterator, etc.
2. Desired experience with SQL queries, JDBC, XML Parsers (DOM, SAX, StAX), Spring Framework, Web Services
3. Desired ability to quickly put to use various 3^rd party libraries
3. Things like HTML, DHTML, XSLT, CSS, JSP, JSF, and AJAX are totally optional and suggest front-end nature of candidate's work.
