Java/Flex Software Developer
Work Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration : 6-12 Months+
Rate : Market

The developer will be a part of the team responsible for building, supporting and maintaining the CNN Wire and CNN's other digital properties. Duties include the design, development, testing and documentation of software. Deliver quality work to meet customer budget, requirements and schedule. Provide prompt, professional customer service. Follow group development standards and industry best practices.

Share and discuss ideas with team members.  Applicant should be able to lead and participate in both technical and non-technical discussions.

Applicant should be highly motivated, able to self-manage, and able to work well in a team environment.

Skills:

-          Java

-          Flex/Flash/ActionScript 3.0

-          JavaScript

-          SQL

-          Unix

-          General web app and website experience including

JSP/XML/HTML/CSS/AJAX

Nice to have:

-          UI design and usability experience

-          Experience developing productivity applications

-          Experience with content management systems

-          NoSQL DBs (ie. CouchDB/MongoDB)

-          Python

Interpersonal/Team Skills:  Good communication skills.  Work closely with both small and large teams.  Customer contact.  

Experience: 6+ years

Education:  Bachelors degree in a technology/science field.  Prefer:

Computer Science or Engineering degree.
