Position: JavaScript Developer

Location: NY/NJ/MD

Duration: 6+ months

Rate: 50-55/hr C2C

• Performs product design tasks of high complexity which may require research and analysis and in-depth front-end programming knowledge.

• Perform system design and specification development, program logic and flow-charting, testing, debugging, and documentation, although specific skill requirements could vary based on the type of development being performed

• Works independently and with supervisory review on moderate to highly complex programming tasks. Provides analysis of problems and recommends solutions. Prepares program specifications and develops coding logic flowcharts.

• Participates in client interactions, possibly with more senior team members, to develop system solutions to business problems.

• Works within established procedures to develop, test, implement, and maintain application software.

• Architect framework level code for multi-site reuse and abstraction.

 

Required Skills:

Expert level in native JavaScript - knowledge of Dojo a huge plus

• Ability to write advanced Object-Oriented JavaScript code leveraging inheritance, encapsulation etc.

• Knowledge of current web technologies and trends such as Sockets, HTML5, CSS3 etc.

• Understanding of cross browser/cross platform limitations and solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of CSS, browser compatibility and work-arounds

• Able to hand code pixel perfect web pages using CSS and HTML compatible across all major browsers

• Excellent communication skills.

# of Years Required: • 6+ years' experience developing interactive GUIs using DHTML/DOM Scripting (HTML, JavaScript, CSS), XML/XSL.
