Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:
Designs solutions that align with business requirements, delivery constraints and infrastructure standards as applicable;
Works in partnership with other team members, as well as the business community to recommend and integrate different approaches to develop or enhance advanced systems for the company;Provide support and maintenance for existing systems
Perform software development and work with closely with other team members
Software development tasks include: software design, code, and troubleshoot software problems
Stay up to date and upgraded on the latest developments in the software field and strategies to effectively apply them to improve K¹² software systems;
Maintains strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, analysis and problem solving skills and is proficient at planning and organizing, capable of working under pressure and within tight deadlines;

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies. Minimum Required Qualifications
B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or comparable work experience)
Minimum 4 years of experience in software development
Java Message Service (JMS), Weblogic 10 JMS preferred with Pub/Sub Messaging experience
B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or comparable work experience)

Java, J2EE
Experience with database development: SQL, Oracle 9i or higher, Java Database Connectivity (JDBC)

Revision control tools such as Git, Subversion or StarTeam Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Experience with web application servers, e.g. Tomcat, Apache, JBoss
Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Object Oriented Design Patterns and Refactoring
Experience developing web applications using frameworks like Spring, Seam, Struts, etc.
Experience with persistence frameworks like EJB3, Hibernate, JPA, Toplink, etc.
Experience with database development: SQL, Oracle 9i or higher, Java Database Connectivity (JDBC)
ANT, Unix, Integrated Development Environments (IDE) such as Eclipse and NetBeans
Revision control tools such as Git, Subversion or StarTeam Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
